Microsoft Business Solutions Navision was a major change from previous versions. This solved some problems which had been in the previous versions and this version delivered Navision an even more solid and reliable software.

This new version of Navision simple to use, you got more control over the economy section and there came a series operational improvements.
It was also easier to make upgrades in the new version, and to adapt it to the individual customer.
To give users a familiar working environment and the opportunity to design their own personalized menu structure, the new user interface was designed almost like Microsoft Office Outlook. The users of Navision was also able to connect resources outside of Microsoft Navision, such as files that are needed to run the business.
With the new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analysis tools the users got an improved graphical view of their business assessments. With Microsoft Navision you was therefore able to move deep into the informations that are critical to statically corporate management.
This version of Navision also covered Extensible Markup Language (XML) port, which secured an effortless communication with other solutions, customers, suppliers and business partners.
