Wow. Nino has been very active! Let's get to the interview!

===========================

Q) Who are you, where are you, and what do you do? What are your specialty technologies?

A) My name is Antonino Bambino but most know me as NinoRCTN. I live in Italy, and I am interested in Microsoft technologies: Windows Server and Infrastructure. I'm a Microsoft MVP and TechNet Moderator. In my free time I like to go fishing and do photography, but I do not have much time to spend to these hobbies.

Q) What are your big projects right now?

A) An important part of the upcoming projects is based on Windows Server 2016, infrastructure technologies and Azure. Another aspect that surely will try to explore is that of security based on Azure Rights Management. Right now I'm working as a consultant at the security office of a client in the banking sector. So these expertise are very important for me.

Q) What Microsoft Forums do you participate in? What different roles do you play?

A) I am one of the moderators of the forums for TechNet Italy on Windows Server, Virtualization, and Security.

Q) In what other sites and communities do you contribute your technical knowledge?

A) Sometimes I contribute to TechNet Wiki, and when I can, I write on my personal blog. The forums are an inexhaustible space of ideas.

Q) On what forum threads have you collaborated with other community members to help answer a question?

A) Users often need an official response that does not refer to the publication. Some times I asked for additional information to the Product Manager at Microsoft. It is nice to act as a link between OP (original poster) and the PM. It takes a long time to spend on it, but it is satisfactory to respond positively!

Q) What forums need more attention? What could they use more of?

A) Fortunately spam seems to be slowed down, but you should have the ability to make cleaning independently. Propose or mark the feedback is very important, to get the correct answer for all the forum users.

Q) Who has impressed you in the Forums community, and why?

A) There are moderators who have a very high rating and many medals. I do not want any names but I admire them all because their commitment is great.

Q) Do you have any comments for product groups about the MSDN and TechNet Forums that they moderate?

A) In the forums located in the Italian language, there is not any presence of the PM. I asked many times for the ability to interface with a local PM or PFE.

Q)  Do you have any tips for people asking questions on MSDN/TechNet Forums?

A) You should indicate exactly the product version used (eg. Windows Server 2008 SP1, Exchange 2012 CU2). Any information is useful to better understand the problem and to be able to give a more precise answer. Enter your error code in a comprehensive way, perhaps by copying from the event log.

Q) Do you have any tips for people answering questions on MSDN/TechNet Forums?

A) Use the citation only if needful. It stretches the thread, making them difficult to read.
